Review - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Dr. Who!

Hello, my lovelies!

It has been far, far too long, but sadly, the job that pays the bills has been requiring all of my free time. But when Julie over at Blue Eyed Girl lacquer announced she was doing a Dr. Who themed line, I had to get in on that. Being a rather large Whovian, I was thrilled to be chosen as a blogger for it!

I love Dr. Who. We (Mr. Enchanted and myself) started with the 2005 reboot, starring Christopher Eccleston (The Ninth Doctor, for all intents and purposes and my personal favorite) and Billie Piper as Rose, his companion. The show actually debuted back in 1964, though it hasn’t run consistently for all 50 years. The Doctor is an alien known as a Time Lord, and he travels through space and time in his time travel machine, the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). If he sustains enough damage in battle, he starts to regenerate – thus appearing as a different actor with a somewhat different personality. Along the way he picks up various traveling companions, and interacts with all sorts of incredible people and aliens (Daleks, Cybermen, etc).

Watch out for Weeping Angels!

Hello, my lovelies!

Today’s polish is a bit out of my normal shimmer and sparkly glitter. It’s one of my favorite indies, LynBDesigns, and part of her Dr. Who line (I love Dr. Who, too!)

This is Weeping Angels, one of the newest additions to the line. The Weeping Angels are downright terrifying on Dr. Who. They look like granite angel statues but when you look away, they move, and their faces contort freakishly. You can’t even blink, or they'll get you!

The polish itself is a really cool mix of gray, black and white glitters in a light gray base with a very faint shimmer. Some of the glitters are matte, different shapes, or iridescent. It’s a really neat effect on the nail, and really does resemble granite. It took me a day to decide if I actually liked it and it really grew on me. This is three coats, topped with Seche Vite.

LynBDesigs can be found on Facebook, and in her etsy shop. Watch her Facebook page for frequent sales!

Sinful Colors & Lynnderella - A Yummy Pair!

Hello, my lovelies!

I have an interesting pair for you today. A low-end Sinful Colors and a high-end Lynnderella! I really like matching finishes of polish, and these two really needed a pairing.

Black Cherry is a new, LE matte by Sinful Colors. Their Facebook page claimed it was  Rite Aid Exclusive but it’s been seen recently at Walgreens. A friend gave this to me, when neither my Rite Aid nor my Walgreens had  it. It’s a lovely blackened dark red with a matte finish. The more coats, the darker it gets. It has a pretty decent application, and like most mattes, dries quickly. This is three coats.

Time for some Lynderella!

Hello, my lovelies!

I hope everyone had a good holiday and some time to relax!
So, today’s pretty!
I have a gorgeous Lynderella glitter to share! Lynderella is an extremely popular indie polish that has been around for a while. She specializes in stunning glitter combinations, and this one is no exception. Lynns, as they’re known by, are probably considered the high end polish of the indie world.
